	CHARLES ATTIE
		Born in 1920 in Brooklyn, New York. Educated at Kansas City Art Institute and later at the Cooper Union in New York. After 1954 he worked almost exclusively as a photographer.
		Attie is better known as a photographer than as a paperback artist; in fact, not only did he provide photos for artists to work from, but he also did some photographic covers for Dell in the late 50's. His first painted cover was for Bantam in 1947. He did only three more before moving to Berkley paperbacks in 1950. He also did a few paintings for Dell in addition to his photographic work.
