Tom Dunn painted his first
cover in 1951 for Signet,
where the hope was he would
duplicate the stylings of
James Avati.
|
|
His work comes very close,
indeed, but seems perhaps a
bit lighter, more cheerful than
Avati's. By the mid-50's his
own style
|
had emerged and we find
simpler, cleaner images.
